Noodies
make great neighbors! They
are your neighbors - they
are the teachers at your neighborhood
school, the shopkeeper around
the corner, and the pastor at
the neighborhood church. They
are city employees, block captains,
and little league coaches. Noodies
are neighborhood leaders, community
resources, and champions of positive
change. Becoming an effective
Noodie can make the difference
to your community.
The Garland Neighborhood University
exists to provide community stakeholders
with the tools to actively engage
in the municipal government process
and to manage neighborhood growth
and change.
GNU increases awareness of city
services and programs, provides
leadership training, strengthens
communications, and increases knowledge
of the basic tools tht enhance
the vitality of our community.
Classes begin in February 2007
and will be held in the Austin
State Room, 200 N. Fifth Street.
Space is limited. To register,
contact the Office of Neighborhood
